Radiesse is a Merz Aesthetics dermal filler composed of smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres (25-45 micron diameter, ~30% by volume) suspended in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier. FDA-approved for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) and for restoring volume in areas of facial fat loss, it works as a regenerative biostimulator: the gel provides immediate volumising correction while CaHA microspheres stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen (neocollagenesis), extending results over time.
